During your initial consultation, Dr. Gonzalez will evaluate your skin concerns, review your treatment plan, and answer any questions you may have.
The innovative procedure is performed in our office using local anesthesia. Dr. Gonzalez will strategically make a small hidden incision and insert the Renuvion® device under the skin (near the target area). Once the device is in place, it is used subdermally or over the skin to deliver cold plasma, which stimulates collagen and elastin, causing the skin to contract and tighten.
J-Plasma® technology works by releasing a mixture of helium gas and radiofrequency waves to create a powerful, precise stream of cool plasma, which contracts the skin while stimulating collagen production.
Depending upon the area being treated, the procedure can take between 30 and 90 minutes to complete. It can take longer if multiple areas of the body are addressed.
While some patients only require a single J-Plasma® treatment, others benefit from a series of treatments. Dr. Gonzalez will determine the best treatment plan during your initial consultation.
J-Plasma® can be performed after liposuction (surgical fat removal) to tighten up the skin.

Following the procedure, patients are given a compression garment to wear for the next 72 hours to manage swelling and promote healing.You can expect minimal swelling, tightness, or redness after the procedure, but this should subside in about one or two weeks. Rest is recommended for at least one day after your treatment. Most patients can resume normal duties the day after.
There is an immediate tightening effect after the procedure that comes as a response to the cold plasma energy. Over time—usually within the first two to three months—your skin will gradually improve as the collagen rebuilding process takes its course. As your body heals over the next several months, you will notice that the appearance of your skin continues to become tighter and firmer.
The cost of your J-Plasma® treatment will vary depending on the number of areas being treated, the size of those areas, the extent of laxity, and the number of treatment sessions being performed.
