BodyTite® by InMode® is a body contouring procedure that uses radiofrequency-assisted liposuction (RFAL) to help reduce excess fat and tighten skin.
While traditional liposuction surgery removes pockets of fat with the use of a cannula, which loosens fat up and then vacuums it out of the body, it does not correct skin laxity. BodyTite®, however, is able to remove fat and tighten loose skin at the same time.
BodyTite® is generally performed under local anesthesia, though general anesthesia can be used if multiple areas are being treated together.
After the anesthesia has been administered, your BodyTite® provider will make a small incision in the target area. The BodyTite® applicator is then inserted through this incision and radiofrequency (RF) energy is emitted to heat the area. The radiofrequency heat effectively liquefies the fat, allowing for easier removal from the body.
As the fat is being liquified and removed, the radiofrequency waves help to tighten the connective tissues and skin while promoting the production of collagen (which is responsible for the skin’s overall health and strength).
Most BodyTite® treatments take anywhere from 30 to 45 minutes to complete.

After your BodyTite® procedure, you can expect to have some bruising, swelling, and discomfort in the treatment area(s). These side effects will dissipate over the next several weeks as you recover. Medication can be taken to alleviate any pain you may experience, but if the pain increases in intensity or remains for a prolonged period of time, then make sure to contact the team at Le Contour Aesthetic Surgery immediately.
Most patients can return to work and their normal, daily activities after five to 10 days, though this recovery time will vary for each individual patient.
During this recovery period, you will need to wear a compression garment, which helps to encourage healing and maintain your new contours. Additionally, it is important that you rest during your recovery time. This means refraining from strenuous activities, like exercise and lifting heavy objects. At your consultation, you will be provided with aftercare instructions that may help speed your recovery and give you the results you are looking for.
After your BodyTite® procedure, you can expect to have a thinner and more contoured appearance with tighter, smoother skin. You may be able to notice some results immediately following your procedure, though your final BodyTite® results will not be apparent until the swelling and inflammation are gone completely, which can take several weeks or months.
While the fat removed with BodyTite® is gone permanently, that does not mean that new fat will not grow. To prolong your dramatic results, you need to maintain a healthy lifestyle, which includes regular exercise and a balanced diet.
