The best candidate for the procedure is anyone with overhanging upper eyelids or bags under the eyes. Some patients are likely to benefit from a brow lift, facelift surgery, or nonsurgical treatments like BOTOX® Cosmetic, hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers (such as JUVÉDERM® or Restylane®), or FaceTite®.

Probably one of the best experiences I’ve ever had at a Dr’s office. I was a new patient so I had to do all the usual paperwork. My appointment was for 2pm by 2:06 I was in the room. Dr Gonzalez came in 5 mins later he was very nice and knowledgeable. I left after he actually said I didn’t need anything done. That’s pretty rare for a Dr not to sell you something!
Eyelid surgery is usually performed under a local anesthetic and an oral or intravenous sedative on an outpatient basis.
The procedure is carried out in two phases: the upper eyelids and the lower eyelids. To rejuvenate the look of your upper eyelids, Dr. Gonzalez will make an incision in the natural crease of your upper eyelid and excise loose skin and fatty tissue and reposition the underlying muscles.
As for the lower eyelid surgery, an incision is made along the lash line to surgically remove sagging skin and fatty tissue, revealing a smoother and firmer look. Any resulting scars are well-concealed within your natural contours. The entire procedure may take anywhere between one to two hours, depending on the level of complexity.

To ease eye discomfort and facilitate recovery, you will be required to apply cold compresses, eye drops, and ointment as directed. Although individual healing rates may vary, most patients can return to work and other social activities in seven to 10 days.
